Drawing On The Window Of My Car
Copyright 2017 Words & Music Steve Pullara
I’m drawing with my finger on the window of the back seat in our car.
The scenery always changing to my picture no matter where we are.
I put myself in a rocket zooming across the sky as truckers act as astronauts and wave as they go by.
My rocket is flying. My rocket is flying!
I draw my mom & dad in this cartoon wishing they were here.
By drawing them on window fog it makes me feel that they are so near.
My sister draws a princess with wings from outer space.
She gives them super powers from her happy place... and we’re both flying, we’re both flying on the windows of our car.
My rocket is flying...My rocket is flying my parents home.
My rocket is flying...My rocket is flying my parents home.
Grandma is doing crochet and Grandpa’s eyes are on the road.
Their music is playing wildly in the car’s stereo.
I am humming as I’m clearing fog to see outside
to where my drawing's going with the scenery of this ride.
My rocket is flying...My rocket is flying...
My rocket is flying my parents home.
Flying my parents home.
Flying my parents home.
Home, home, home!
Home, home, home!
