Best Friend (Narrative)
When I get home from school I call my buddy Cookie. We enjoy calling each other back and forth about movies, books, sports, and things to do. The other night we sat in the yard and listened to the crickets, owls and frogs. It was quite a concert! Then we tried to get fireflies to land on our arms by lying very still, but we started to get mosquito bites instead. Ouch! That was a signal that our nature concert was over and that it was time to go inside.
My Buddy (song)
Throwin’ footballs in the park,
Chasin’ fireflies after dark,
Catchin’ fish down by the pond,
It just feels good to belong...I’m hangin’ with my buddy.
I’ve got someone to catch a ball,
who’s there to catch me if I fall,
and a friend to help me stand up tall,
I’ve got someone that I call...my buddy.
In this big old world it’s good to know
I’ve got someone to help me grow,
a friend that makes me laugh a lot,
I’m so happy that I’ve got my buddy.
After school when I get home
doin’ my homework on my own
all I gotta do is dial the phone
and just like that I’m not alone
talkin’ to my buddy.
In this big old world it’s good to know
I’ve got someone to help me grow...
a friend that makes me laugh a lot...
I’m so happy that I’ve got my buddy.
In this big old world it’s good to know
I’ve got someone to help me grow,
a friend that makes me laugh a lot,
I’m so happy that I’ve got my buddy.
